One of Wayland’s four Odyssey of the Mind teams last weekend earned the right to compete in the state meet March 18 at Middleville Thornapple Kellogg.

Wayland Union Schools was host for the Regional 4 Odyssey of the Mind competition Feb. 18 at which about 60 teams were featured.

The Pine Street Elementary teams, coached by parents Dawn Stein and Toni Ordway, did problem 5, which created a performance about a Superhero. They placed fourth with a score of 281 points.

Admission to the state competition is free and the local people are invited to attend and cheer on the Pine Street team.
