Pine Street Elementary held its annual spelling bee Wednesday, Jan. 31. The spelling bee champion was fourth-grader, Emmet Katje, and runner-up was fifth-grader, Izaak Taylor. The top four spellers from the bee will compete in the Allegan County Spelling Bee Tuesday, Feb. 27. The four students are; Amara Sheffer, Anthony Winters, Emmet Katje and Izaak Taylor.
