The annual spelling bee at Pine Street Elementary in Wayland was held Wednesday, Jan. 29. The top 23 spellers from fourth and fifth grades competed for a chance to advance to the regional spelling bee. The top four finishers who will move on to compete in Otsego next month are AJ Winters, fourth place; Phoebe Snyder, third place; Lorelei Miller, second place, and Emmett Katje first place.
