Students in Kelli VanderGeld’s class and others at Pine Street Elementary were visited Thursday morning by Jenifer Saylor, a guest reader from the Michigan Department of Education. She read to a few classes “The Dot” by Peter H. Reynolds, which is about a young girl who discovers her artistic talent by drawing a dot. Afterward, students were given bookmarks with a dot to create their own artwork.
