The Wayland City Planning Commission Tuesday evening had no difficulty in recommending the City Council approve a request from Recco Products, 702 S. Main St., to expand its manufacturing facility.
Recco Products is a large precision manufacturer and supplier of aerospace-quality filters, strainers, baskets and screens.
The company, through Rick Perry Builders, is seeking a special use permit to expand its lawfully non-conforming manufacturing facility inside the B-2 General Business District.
After commission members went through the customary six findings of fact, they voted 6-0 to recommend approval.
Commission Chairman JD Gonzales said, “It seems pretty straight forward. It’s a continuation of what they do.”
The matter came before the Jan. 10 Planning Commission meeting, but was tabled.
In another matter, City Manager Josh Eggleston told commissioners a public hearing on the city’s master plan will be held Tuesday, April 11, at council chambers.
