Preparing BBQ chicken for family picnic outings

This recipe is for five pounds of a chicken legs and thighs combo, and makes it easy for a grab and go, but you can also use five pounds of a whole chicken cut up.
Place in single layer in a large roasting pan, skin side up, and cover with the following barbecue sauce.

 

 

BBQ Sauce
1 1/2 cup ketchup
1/3 cup brown sugar
2 tablespoons white vinegar 
1/4 cup Lawry’s seasoning salt 
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1/2 teaspoon paprika
1 teaspoon Tobasco hot sauce 
Stir together and add 1 1/2 cup water
1/2 cup onion

Bake chicken in oven at 350 degrees for 1 1/2 hours, basting frequently toward the end. The sauce will thicken up nicely and you’ll have that wonderful smell going through the house.
