Former Wayland High School al12322121l-stater Presley Hudson led Central Michigan University scorers with 26 points Monday in an 82-51 victory over Illinois.

Hudson tied a career-high with six 3-pointers and with those six, she moved into 10th place on CMU’s career list with 113 in just her second collegiate season.

The Chippewas had four players in double figures in their first victory over a Big Ten opponent in five years. They are now 8-3 for the season overall.

Hudson, who was an all-state selection in 2015 for Wayland and runner-up in the voting for Miss Basketball, leads CMU in scoring at 14.7 points per game and is the team leader in assists and free throw shooting (91.7 percent). She was the team’s leading scorer last year and was voted Mid-American Conference Freshman of the Year.
