Wayland High School graduate Presley Hudson and Central Michigan University will play Louisiana State at 11 a.m. Saturday in the first round of the NCAA women’s basketball tournament. The game will be broadcast on ESPN2.

The tourney opener will be played at Ohio State University. CMU is the No. 11 seed and LSU is No. 6.

Host Ohio State will take on George Washington in the other bracket, with the two winners meeting Monday at Ohio State.

Hudson, a junior guard for the Chippewas, is a 2015 graduate of Wayland, where she was all-state and runner-up in the Miss Basketball balloting. She is averaging 18.3 points per game, second on the team, and CMU in assists (167), free-throw percentage (92.6) and three-point percentage (45.0)

Central Michigan is making its first NCAA women’s basketball appearance since 2013.
