The Central Michigan University women’s basketball team won the Cavalier Classic Tournament over the Thanksgiving weekend at the University of Virginia. The Chippewas, now 5-1 for the season, defeated host Virginia, an NCAA tournament qualifier last March, and University of Tennessee Chattanooga. Senior point guard Presley Hudson, a 2015 graduate of Wayland High School, led the Chips in both victories with 22 points in each contest. Hudson, CMU’s all-time career record holder in assists and three-point field goals, is averaging 24.8 points per game for a team that last spring made the Sweet 16 in the post-season NCAA tournament.
