Though the season ended with a lot of disappointments, Wayland High School graduate Presley Hudson’s sophomore year was a record breaker for Central Michigan University.

Hudson, an all-stater for the Lady Wildcats and runner-up in the Miss Basketball balloting in 2015, set CMU records for points scored in one game (43), number of three-point field goals in one game (nine) and tied Suzy Merchant and Brandie Baker in number of assists in a season (156).

She also led the team in scoring with 16.8 points per game, in minutes played, assists, steals and in free throw percentage at 92.6%. Though only a sophomore, Hudson also already is among the top 10 in CMU history for career three-point goals.

The Chippewas finished with a 23-9 record overall and were Mid-American Conference regular season champions, but were upset by Western Michigan University in the league tournament and then lost to Wright State in the opening round of the National Invitational Tournament.
