After concluding her career as Central Michigan’s all-time leader in career three-pointers made, senior guard Presley Hudson has been selected to the Women’s 3-Point Championship roster for the 31st annual State Farm College Slam Dunk & 3-Point Championships at Minneapolis’ Target Center.

The event, which precedes the 2019 NCAA men’s final four, will take place Thursday, April 4, and will air live on ESPN at 9 p.m. EST. Hudson earned her invitation after being recognized as one of the nation’s finest shooters from 3-point territory.

One of seven players in NCAA Division I women’s basketball history to hit at least 400 three-pointers, Hudson finished her illustrious career with 407 triples. She holds the CMU single-season record for three-pointers (125), the Mid-American Conference career three-point record and is tied for the CMU single-game three-point record (9). Hudson leaves as the Chippewas all-time leading scorer in program history with 2,309 points.

Hudson, daughter of Wayland High School boys’ varsity basketball coach Mike Hudson, was an all-state player for WHS in 2015.

Intersport, producers of the event, invites 24 of the nation’s elite men’s and women’s college basketball players to compete in the State Farm College Slam Dunk & 3-Point Championships (eight dunkers, along with eight men’s and eight women’s shooters). The program showcases the dunking and sharp-shooting talents of the nation’s top college basketball players during the Men’s and Women’s 3-Point Shooting Championships, the Reese’s Puffs Battle of the Champions, the Great Clips Slam Dunk Championship and the Applebee’s Team Shootout.

A complete roster of participants will be released at a later date.
