Myrtle Miller of Hopkins had a private funeral

Myrtle Mae (Nakken) Miller, 87, of Hopkins, died Friday, May 28.
Born Oct. 26, 1933, in Salem Township, she was the ninth child of 12born to the late Benjamin and Tiena (Van Dam) Nakken. She married Roy Arthur Miller on Aug. 19, 1958, and together they shared nearly 63 years of marriage and raised three children.
Mrs. Miller was retired from the United States Postal Service where she had been a mail carrier in Hopkins for many years. She and Roy were long time members of First Baptist Church of Allegan.
Mrs. Miller taught Bible study for many years and read her own Bible often. Mrs. Miller enjoyed spending time tending to her flower gardens and spending time with her loved ones.
Besides her husband, Roy, she is survived by her children, Melinda (Tom) Bultman, Dale Miller and Janice Crick; several nieces and nephews, as well as great nieces and nephews, cousins, extended family members, sisters-in-law, neighbors, friends and her church family.
In accordance with her wishes, private services were held. Mrs. Miller was laid to rest in Elmwood Cemetery, Wayland.
