A special free program, “Foraging: the ultimate guide to wild food,” will be presented at the Then & Now Historical Library in downtown Dorr at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 17.
Participants can learn how to find, identify and work with wild edibles and medicinal plants found right here in West Michigan with a presentation from Nancy Felton. They will learn how their ancestors used these wild plants back “Then” in history to what are still being used “Now.”
Many of the plants, mushrooms, flowers and trees we here on earth have edible and or medicinal qualities.
This introduction to foraging presentation is free to the public at 1807 142nd Ave. in Dorr, starting at 6 p.m. Coffee and a snack will be provided
