Proud Pokagon member Stephanie Hall dies at 57

Stephanie Jo Hall, 57, died Wednesday, April 29, in Vicksburg. She was 57.

Born Oct. 30, 1962, in Mount Pleasant, she was the daughter of the late Isaac and Phoebe (Stevens) Hall. Stephanie was a proud member of the Pokagon Band of Potawatomi Indians.

She graduated from Mechanic School and had worked for many years at Steelcase. In her spare time, Stephanie loved to go gambling at the casinos. She really enjoyed eating junk food and sharing it with her grandchildren. Stephanie also adored her precious Shih Tzu companion.

Surviving are her daughter, Melodie Hall; son, Joseph (Jennifer) Hall; brother, Kevin Hall; and six grandchildren. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Sarah Hall; her sister, Jennifer Taylor; and her brother, David Hall.

In accordance with recent regulations regarding the pandemic, and in an effort to maintain the health and safety of loved ones, Stephanie will be privately laid to rest in Salem Township Cemetery. Anyone wishing to have a private moment of prayer and pay their final respects to Stephanie may visit Gorden Funeral Residence, 208 West Main St., Hopkins. between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. Monday, May 4. The family will not be present.
