The Wayland City Planning Commission will have a public hearing Tuesday evening, Feb. 11, to deliberate on an application from a developer to rezone the huge vacant lot at the corner of Reno Drive and West Superior Street.
The commission receive an application from 135th Avenue Development, LLC, owner of 1134 W. Superior St. to rezone from B-2 Commercial District to a mixed use commercial-residential Planned Unit Development (PUD).
The request was first proposed last fall by the economic arm of the Gun Lake Casino to establish apartments on the property.
The meeting is scheduled to get under way at 7 p.m. Feb. 11.
