Clark Galloway, co-developer of the Galloway Landings air park in Leighton Township has completed applications to expand the airport/ planned development by adding two more parcels; building a hangar with offices, kitchen, overnight sleeping areas, and lounge, and building a personal hangar. He also wants to turn the existing red barn into an event venue.

A public hearing before the Township Planning Commission will be at 7 p.m. Wednesday Feb. 8.

Galloway Landings won approval to develop an air park several years, but sufficient opposition caused the proposed development to be the subject of a local referendum, in which a majority of voters approved.

Opponents contend the air park will encroach on a nearby horse farm and ruin the rural character of the area.
