Fire very Friday morning destroyed a pole barn and several tractor-trailers inside at the Jablonski & Sons farming and trucking company in Hopkins Township.
The Hopkins Fire Department, assisted by other area departments, was summoned to the scene on 16th Street near its intersection with 135th Avenue just after 3 a.m.
A Wayland firefighter said the pole barn was already fully engulfed in flames when crews got to the site.
Authorities said they could still see flames shooting from tires after sunrise and they cleared the scene just after 7 a.m.
Six fire departments, including Wayland, were called. Wayland Fire Chief Joe Miller reported there were no injuries and no one was near the site when the fire broke out.
It is not known yet what the cause of the fire was.
