The presidential race is getting interesting. With all those Republicans and only two Democrats with any chance of winning the Democrat nomination (with Vice President Uncle Joe in the wings), the presidential roulette is heating up.  While I think my cat could do a better job of running the country than the present administration, the surprise — Donald Trump — has all media in a twitter (no pun intended).

Notice the candidates doing the best on the “R” side; Trump, Carson, and Fiorina – why is this? Maybe people are getting fed up with “politicians” and want someone as president who comes from a totally different viewpoint and experience than what is in Washington D.C. or state governments. They are sick of the incompetence in Washington by both parties, but more so against Democrats and President Obama.

A person in a senator’s role running for president, when he had no qualifications to become a senator, let alone a president – after almost seven years, it is glaringly apparent he and his administration have no clue on how to govern America.  Lucky for ex- President Jimmy Carter he is still alive to see someone from his party more incompetent than he.

Georgia’s favorite son finally has something to cheer about.  He is a fine Christian man, just wasn’t a good president. However, he is idolized by Democrats whenever he shows up for any Democrat gathering.  Does anyone realize President Carter’s ancestors were slave owners?  His ancestors fought for the dreaded Confederates under the “Stars and Bars” Confederate flag. Wasn’t a big thing in 1976, but today, he wouldn’t have had a chance to be a candidate for president with that baggage.

With the ascent of the non-politician candidates for Republicans and a stacked stable of competent, accomplished, and experienced politicians running for the presidential office on the “R” side of the aisle, let’s look at the Democrats. There’s Senator Bernie Sanders (I – Vermont), an “Independent” running for the Democrat nomination?  Since when is an “Independent” a Democrat?  I don’t get it, but the Democrats are desperate.

They have Mrs. Clinton (formerly First Lady, inept Senator from New York (and voted “for” the Iraq war) and failed, incompetent Secretary of State), the woman who can’t and won’t tell the truth ever, and now, the possibility of “Uncle” Joe Biden jumping into the race?  There are a few other hangers-on, but they can’t even muster enough support to show up in polls. Essentially, it is one Independent and one Democrat.

Senator Bernie Sanders is an avowed Socialist, “Robin Hood” type – steal from the rich to give to the poor.  He is and will remain a walking disaster of a candidate.  I will say one positive thing about Bernie – he says what he thinks and there’s no misunderstanding of what he believes and his viewpoints.  A true follower of Marx and Lenin – Commie supreme.

Mrs. Clinton, the virtual shoe-in Democrat candidate earlier this year, is now struggling to keep supporters and the polls positive.  I have no illusions, she is like a wounded lioness, and still has life, she is a Clinton. Obfuscate, double-speak, lie, cheat, steal, whatever it takes to keep her from admitting she broke the law in regards to information on the private server.

There should be intense focus on the Clinton Foundation as well, and determine if the Clintons were using it like a private bank to enrich themselves instead of giving to worthy causes. A telling clue in how they view the foundation funds is the revision of previous tax statements – changed only because they know an audit would reveal discrepancies. But we all know how the Clintons work the system and the willing media goes along to get along.

They want the exclusive interviews with the “First Black President” Bill Clinton, Mrs. Clinton and Chelsea. It is interesting when reading secret service accounts of how Bill and Mrs. Clinton would use derogatory remarks to agents there to protect them and it seems to have rubbed off on Chelsea. Workers at the Clinton Foundation and the Secret Service, they say she is just like Mrs. Clinton when it comes to blue language and demeaning the help. Guess the nut doesn’t fall too far from the tree.

Vice President Joe Biden, the affable “Uncle Joe” – hapless, clueless, but viewed as a nice guy by the media. You remember the “3 letter word” he said the President will create, “J-O-B-S”.  Ha, ha, that Joe, he’s a funny guy ain’t he? Remember when he said; “In Delaware, the largest growth in population is Indian-Americans moving from India. You cannot go to a 7-Eleven or a Dunkin’ Donuts unless you have a slight Indian accent. I’m not joking.”

What’s that Joe!? Racist comments from a Democrat – tell me it ain’t so? Or his comments about candidate Obama, “I mean, you got the first mainstream African-American who is articulate and bright and clean and a nice-looking guy,” Biden said. “I mean, that’s a storybook, man.”

What, another racist comment by old Joe? What does the media say – silence, no push back, no questions – nothing, the silence was deafening.  And the Republicans are racists!

What Americans want is government off their backs (lower taxes, less regulation, less government to support) and bring the power and tax money back to the states for them to decide how and where the money will be spent. Get Washington D.C. out of the unconstitutional areas it doesn’t belong in and into the defense of the country, stopping illegal immigration and regulating interstate commerce business – just what they are required to do under the Constitution. They don’t belong in education, agriculture, environmental, energy, or policing – that should be done by the states or not at all. End “Leviathan” once and for all, and all the money it takes from our pockets to support this over-bloated, corrupt federal government.

As Shakespeare once said: ”The first thing we do, let’s kill all the lawyers” – since Washington D.C. is overrun by lawyers, both as politicians, lobbyists, and those participating in the mayhem in D.C., it might not be a bad idea. But it wouldn’t solve the problem, more would show up to replace them, rats always beget more rats. There has to be a change in how people think about government and how it should work and the greatest road map on how to do that is the Constitution.

Love it, follow it, interpret it, and use it.  Or the misery will continue.
