Ranger Rick: Trump doing what we asked him to do

It’s been more than two years with President Trump in office and just about every promise he made during the campaign for president has come true — lowered taxes for all, lowered corporate tax rates, and helped growing the economy to robust levels.

More people are working of all races and sexes, at higher rates of compensation, benefits, and avenues of opportunity for more than ever before. His pulling out of treaties and agreements that were bad for us but good for others came to an end.  Fair trade was balanced by enforcing tariffs that others taking advantage of trade agreements totally in their favor are now being renegotiated to make “fair trade” in reality, not just words.

President Barack Obama told the American people to be satisfied with low growth rates (which evidently he believed with all his heart, as there wasn’t any business oriented relief to help growth occur under his administration) and Americans were no better than any other citizens from other countries. Taxes and more regulation burdened business and trade. The Democrats, Socialists, Statists and Remocrats (also known as RINOs in Swampland Washington D.C.) speak) loved a know-nothing, do-nothing President Obama. They could go to parties and swig champagne and eat finger food all whilst hobnobbing with the other do-nothing Congress folks.

After eight years of misery, we finally have a President who said what he was going to do and after being elected is making good on his promises. The people pulling the lever for Trump are happy with their choice. The Democrats offer nothing but roadblocks and opposition — they hate it when America is progressing and winning.  It makes them look bad, and they are.

Along come more Democrats elected to the House of Representatives. A more motley crew of angry, ungrateful, but diverse (whatever that has to do with anything) congressional opposition to President Trump in the House of Representatives. The American people be damned, they are angry and want President Trump opposed and impeached.

President Trump, please build the Wall with whatever means necessary. The Democrats voted for wall funding well over $24 billion while Obama was in office, but now that a Republican wants that support, no deal. How insane and inane, childish and small. The Democrats have shown who they support — illegals breaking the law and coming into the country instead of American tax-paying citizens.

On another subject to show how these new Democrats think, the media loving Democrat socialist Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY), (AOC for the remainder of this article) recently suggested that “… people should consider not having children due to climate change because there is “scientific consensus” that life will be hard for kids. Our planet is going to hit disaster if we don’t turn this ship around and so it’s basically like, there’s a scientific consensus that the lives of children are going to be very difficult…. And it does lead, I think, young people have a legitimate question, you know, is it OK to still have children?”

After Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D-CA) was ambushed by a far-left fringe group tied to pressure Feinstein into supporting the Green New Deal. “… You come in here, and say it has to be my way of the highway. I don’t respond to that. I’ve gotten elected, I just ran. I was elected by almost a million-vote plurality. And I know what I’m doing.  So you know, maybe people should listen a little bit.”

Rep. AOC said Feinstein’s response was “like not good enough” because the legislation that the Democrats support is “frankly going to kill us. A lack of urgency is going to kill us.”

“The issue has gotten worse,” AOC continued. “So I don’t think that working on an issue for 30 years alone is what qualifies as, what someone qualified to solve an issue. That said, there are a lot of people that have been doing this work for decades that have proposed ambitious solutions for years and have not been listened to,” AOC added, “So it’s not just I’ve been doing this for 30 years, so we need to listen to them because frankly people have been failing at the same things for 30 or 40 years. What we need to do is say ‘What solutions have not been tried yet?  And what ambitious scale have we not shot at yet.’ And let’s do it.”

Quite a bit of other nonsense she added, but it is not relevant for the discussion except for this statement, “… the world is gonna end in 12 years if we don’t address climate change.”

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, what don’t you understand?  Evidently you don’t read. It was predicted years ago that if no changes in the climate happened slowing the heating of the earth, the Arctic ice would melt and the seas would rise, probably inundating the East Coast cities by a rise of almost two feet of additional sea water.

No, the Arctic is not navigable in the summer as predicted. No, the sea levels have not changed appreciably in years. Actually, sun spot activity has slowed over the past five years, alarming some scientists to reassess their warming predictions and think more about cooling and its effects on human life. Cooling would be devastating, much more so than warming. Plant and mammal life do not do well in ice and snow.

Speaking of unintelligent life, AOC is full of it. No, there is no “97% of scientists agree” — consensus is not science. That is an urban legend. Are humans the cause for “global warming” or since cooling has happened since 1997, it has changed to “global climate change” because the narrative no longer fit.

I don’t doubt human activity has an effect on global environment, but not to the degree humans are the only factor in any changes in the weather, climate, carbon level or any other thing you want to measure. It is no doubt and has been proven there have been as many as four Ice Ages and high temperature periods on Earth before humans existed. There have been higher and lower carbon dioxide periods on Earth before humans existed. How did that happen without human activity? The Earth has survived everything happening in the billions of years of existence.

I’m not saying I’m the sharpest knife in the drawer, but I’m not the dullest either. I think, I read, I discuss with others, I listen, I form opinions — many different from the mainstream.  Those who don’t think outside the box are usually the last to realize their positions are no longer relevant.  The media and politicians try to keep us in silos and keep us in the dark in regards to truth and knowledge because if we knew, we would be outraged.

I will speak more about that in my next few posts.

The rotting of America from within continues…
