The venue for the planned visit of State Rep. Jon Hoadley, has been changed from the new Carpenters and Millwrights Training Center to Celia’s Bakery and Restaurant in downtown Wayland at 4 p.m. Saturday, April 27.
Allegan County Democrats said the training center will be in use for other purposes Saturday, so the move was necessary. The center’s grand opening is not until April 29.
Hoadley, a Democrat who represents the Kalamazoo area, will be guest speaker at the meet and greet affair. He has just announced he is a candidate for Congress, challenging Republican incumbent Fred Upton, who has served in his seat since 1986.
The program is being sponsored by the Wayland chapter of the Democratic Party.
