The Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) will begin work on the 144th Avenue overpass on the U.S.-131 expressway Thursday, Jan. 30, and Friday, Jan. 31
Crews will start at 8 a.m. on the 30th, and northbound 131 will be reduced to one lane. There will be a full highway shutdown on Thursday at 10 p.m.to Friday at 6 a.m. A full reopening of NB 131 is expected Friday at 6PM.
After the work is completed, eastbound 144th Avenue traffic will be maintained with one lane using temporary signals. Temporary signals on 144th Avenue will remain in place until a contract can be issued to replace the beam, deck and barrier wall.
