Word has been received that former Wayland Union Schools elementary teacher Jan Sage has died at the age of 75.

Ms. Sage was said to have taught at Dorr and Steeby elementary schools. She lived for more than 40 years on Dahlia Street in Wayland.

She died in late July of complications from Alzheimer’s Disease.

Among her survivors are a daughter, Stephanie Weber, son-in-law Tom Weber and grandson Zack Weber, all of Dorr.

No services or visitation events have been planned.
