Ribbon cutting welcomes new WHS soccer field

The new Wayland High School soccer field was the site of a ribbon cutting ceremony Wednesday afternoon, just before the Wildcats took on South Christian in the turf’s inaugural match of their season. On hand were local dignitaries, including school officials and representatives of the Gun Lake Tribe, which made major financial contributions to the project. The new facility replaced an old soggy field that received plenty of complaints.
