The paving project in Wayland Township for 6th Street and 131st Avenue between Gregorville Road and 4th Street is scheduled for the top course of asphalt on Wednesday, May 12, weather permitting. The Allegan County Road Commission indicates traffic will be maintained with flaggers, but anticipate delays.

I wish someone would address the terrible road condition of 133rd Ave. between Patterson and 4th st. This road has more patches upon patches and still potholes! Why doesn’t this ever get resurfaced?
100% Agree!! What say you Wayland Township? I am guessing no one from the board lives on that stretch of road……..
Cheers!!
133rd/Gregorville/132nd from Patterson to 6th street is now planned to be redone in 2022. It was planned for this year, 2021, but had to be put off because of lack of funds. Wayland Township relies on the revenue sharing from the tribe and casino to help maintain our roads, as we are the only Township (I think) in Allegan County without a road millage. Now that 131st Ave will be completed we will have a safe detour route available while 133rd/Gregorville/ 132nd is being redone. I definitely agree it is long overdue and needs done badly.
Has anyone been on 8th Street south of 129th and curving east to become 127th? Same thing, patches upon patches (the ones done this spring didn’t work). Once on 127th you can see roadbed gravel in the cracks in the thin pavement left. The south end of Selkirk Lake (125th) is in very poor shape, probably as bad as 8th, or worse.
Is there a schedule about what township roads will be repaved and when? How about making it public?
