Local authorities have apprehended a minor suspect in the break-in and burglary early Tuesday morning at the Rock ‘N Bowl bowling establishment just north of the Wayland city limits.

The business owners, Ron and Linda Lannon, said the money and stolen items were returned by the police Thursday night.

“The outpouring of shares and local support and attention spread the word and someone noticed the influx of cash and candy,” a business spokesperson posted on Facebook Friday. “Restitution and damages are being covered by the responsible party.

“From the bottom of our hearts, we want to thank our community for the assistance and words of encouragement and support received.”

It was reported that he thief made off with cash and candy, dropping suckers and ten dollar bills on the way out.

The name of the suspect is being withheld because he is a minor.
