Santino Di Cesare has been selected for the assistant principal’s position at Wayland High School.
Di Cesare will fill the vacancy after Mike Omness moved to Pine Street Elementary School earlier this spring as assistant principal.
Di Cesare, a Wayland High School graduate, was hired in April 2018 as the athletic director and ninth grade assistant principal. He received his bachelor’s degree from Hope College, where he played four years of football. He earned his master’s in degree educational Leadership from Grand Valley State University.
He resides in Dorr with is wife Sydne and two sons Lewis and Leo.
“Mr. Di Cesare is excited to accept this challenge and get to work in this new role,” said Principal Tom Cutler. “I am excited to have Mr. Di Cesare as the assistant principal, as he is experienced in working with our students, staff, and Guidance Department.”
The district is currently seeking a replacement for the athletic director/ninth grade assistant principal’s position.
