She and the Central Michigan University basketball squad suffered a 63-55 defeat at the hands of Indiana Purdue University. The loss dropped the team’s final season record to 22-11. The Chippewas won the West Division of the Mid-American Conference with a record of 14-4 and lost to Buffalo in the MAC tournament finals. A victory would have punched their ticket to the NCAA tournament.
