Service at Kingdom Hall Jan. 19 for Craig Strick

Craig Strick, formerly of Moline, died in his sleep Friday, Dec. 27.

He was born on March 17, 1950, in Allegan County to Maxine Virginia Dennis and was named Arnold Adcock. He was then adopted by Nelson and Alice Strick and was given the name Craig Allen Strick.

He grew up in Moline and lived most of his adult life in the Kent County area.

Craig loved working with his hands, fixing things with his tools and painting. He also loved his plants! In his later years he was often found outside helping his mother with their vegetable garden or making salsa and dragon dust with his hot peppers.

He was regularly out in the community sharing information about Jehovah’s love and the hope that brought him comfort.

Craig loved his family and friends and enjoyed spending time with them at every opportunity. He loved showing pictures of his great-grandson Charlie and watching him grow.

When his mother needed help, he moved in to care for her so she could stay in her home until she passed.

Craig was preceded in death by his wife Karen Strick, mother Alice Strick and father Nelson Strick.

He is survived by his son Jesse Strick (wife Caitlin), step-daughter Brenda Strick, grandsons Brandon Strick (wife Kaylene), Jarek DeGlopper, Steven DeGlopper, great-grandson Charlie Strick, great-grandson Gunner Graham, great-granddaughter Brielle Graham, great-grandson on the way Jazek DeGlopper, as well as many cousins and their families.

There will be a memorial held at 3 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 19, at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 890 137th Ave. Wayland. A reception will follow at: Windsor Woods Village,1135 W Superior St.
