Alice Strick, age 99, died Thursday, March 10.

Alice loved gardening, Each year she would watch her beautiful spring flowerbed bloom and get ready to plant her huge veggie garden. She loved watching the plants grow and even more so, enjoyed working with her hands in the soil and enjoying the produce she grew. Many times a gift of zucchini bread was sent off to someone to cheer them up or just to say, “I’m thinking about you.”

She was also known for her faith and love for her God, Jehovah.

She is survived by her son, Craig Strick; daughter, Julie Hanes; daughter-in-law, Mary Smith; grandson, Jesse (Caitlin) Strick; granddaughters Nadja, Caryn (Jordan) Elam; great grandchildren Brandon, Sam, Bella, Elliot and Miles; great-great grandson, Charlie; as well as many nieces, nephews, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Nelson Strick; parents Cornelius and Anna Cole; her 10 siblings Hermana, Adrian, Peter, Maude, Anna, John, Neil, Bette, Sena and her twin sister, Evelyn.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, March 26, via Zoom.
