Service for Kay VanderPloeg, 68, will be Thursday

photo_20160404_WM0064474_0_20160404Kay E. Vander Ploeg, age 68, of Wayland, died Monday, April 4.

Kay is survived by her husband Robert Vander Ploeg; her children: Connie (Buck Green) Berg, Corey (Stephanie) Vander Ploeg, and Keith (Maggie) Vander Ploeg; her 10 grandchildren and one great-grandson; her step-brother Duane Austin; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents Edward Young and Goldie (VandeerMeer) Young Austin, her sister Clarabell Kuk and her brother Howard “Bill” Young.

Friends may visit with Kay’s family from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, April 6, at Kubiak-Cook Funeral Home, Wayland. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday, April 7, at Kubiak-Cook Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Germond Cemetery, Wayland.

Donations in memory of Kay may be made to Multiple Sclerosis Foundation or West Michigan Cancer Center.
