Marrion Joyce (Curtis) Lull, 86, of Hopkins, died Monday, Feb. 15, at her home. Born Jan. 20, 1935, in Hopkins, she was the daughter of the late Elmer and Correanne (Cram) Curtis. On July 12, 1955, she married Trayton Spencer Lull and they enjoyed more than 62 years of marriage prior to his passing in 2017.
Mrs. Lull was a member of Hopkins United Methodist Church for more than 53 years and was very active with their food pantry. She also loved to crochet baby hats, lap blankets and other beautiful items for those in need.
Mrs. Lull, along with her husband, owned and operated the Hopkins Hardware for thirty-two years. They later purchased the Ace Hardware in Plainwell and operated that for 10 years. When not busy at the stores, Mrs. Lull enjoyed camping with her family.
She is survived by her daughters-in-law, Kathy Lull and Elaine Lull; grandchildren, Joyce and Jaron, Trenton, Darren, Kim, Joanna and Heather; ten great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews, Laverne, Judy, Ronnie, Linda, Elwin, Freida, Phyllis, Cynthia and Tim; and special extended family, Mike and Deb Lovley.
Along with her husband, Trayton, Mrs. Lull was preceded in death by her sons, Hal Lull and Todd Lull; baby brother, Donald Curtis; and sister, Dawn Kraft.
The family will receive friends from 4 to 6 p.m. Thursday at Hopkins United Methodist Church. A funeral will take place at 1 p.m. Friday at Hopkins United Methodist Church, 322 N. Maple St., Hopkins, with Pastor Dominic and Pastor Kelsey co-officiating. Due to Covid-19 restrictions, there will be limited space at the church, however live stream will be available on the funeral home’s Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/gordenandchappellfuneral). Burial will follow in Maplewood Cemetery.
