Jason “Bub” James Daniel Swinney died Saturday, June 10. He was 33.

Jason always loved the outdoors, hunting and fishing. He was always the jokester and loved to play pranks to make you smile. Even on your worst days, he always found a way to make you laugh.

He is survived by his parents, Jason Swinney of Otsego and Christine Swinney of Plainwell, his daughter, Summer Swinney of Martin and his siblings: Kristen Swinney of Dorr, Joseph Swinney of Otsego, Dillon Swinney of Plainwell, Alexis Arnold of Galesburg, Hunter Swinney, Bill Burgen and Bailey Burgen of Plainwell, his grandparents, James and Carolyn Pardee of Shelbyville and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, June 24, at the Martin United Methodist Church. 969 E. Allegan St. Martin, MI 49070. A luncheon will follow.

A private burial will take place at a later date.
