Bonnie Lou Kemper, 83, of Wayland, died Sunday, June 28, at Green Acres.
The daughter of Rufus R. and Marjorie (Jager) Hunt, she was born on May 04, 1937, in Montague. She was a graduate of Montague High School and Michigan State University. She taught English in both California and Michigan along with many other interesting pursuits.
Bonnie had a love of reading and travel which took her on many wonderful adventures, but the greatest pleasure was time spent with her five grandchildren.
Surviving are her children, Jim and Janis Kemper, and Anne and Sean Toohey; grandchildren, Jack Kemper, Jill Kemper, Joe and Ann Kemper, Frank Toohey, and Katie Toohey; sister, Carol Black and Bill Black; nephew, Bruce Welch; and niece, Liz Spindler.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
The family is planning a life celebration in her home town of Montague Aug. 29. Details will be announced at a later time.
