Service Thursday for wrong-way traffic crash victim

Jonathon Miles Yarrington, age 27, of Grand Rapids, died Thursday, Feb. 23, after a traffic crash.
Jonathon was a proud graduate of Wayland High School. Through his life he held many different jobs, but finally landed his dream job at Founders Brewery working the night shift. As much as Jonathon loved his job, nothing compared to the love he had for his family. He was the most loving and caring father to his boys.
He enjoyed soaking up the sun on the beach, adding to his Jordan collection, and scouring the area for the best craft beers he could find.
Surviving are his fiance’, Melissa Bazan; children, Miles, Mason, Tomi, Seth, and Ryle; parents, Lisa Hestikind, Gary and Cindy Berends; grandchildren, Lyric and Luna; siblings, Nicole (Brandon) Carew, Kaylee (Jesse) Dyk, Luke Hestikind, Samantha Berends, Logan Berends, Paige Berends and James Yarrington; grand parents, Linda and Dennis Mishler, Steve Szabo and Roger and Mary Berends; nieces, Cambria and Jada Carew; nephews, Dominyck and Bentley Carew; many aunts; uncles; cousins; and soon to be in-laws; and childhood friends.
Jonathon was preceded in death by his father, James Yarrington; aunt, Kelly Haddan; grandmother, Mildred Morford; great grandmother, Betty Haddan; and cousin, Mike Stowe. A memorial service will be at noon Thursday, March 2, at Michigan Cremation & Funeral Care, 3627 Linden Ave. S.E. Grand Rapids, with a visitation one hour prior. A luncheon will follow at Founders Brewery, 235 Grandville Ave S.W. Grand Rapids.
