Ardis Badger-Jimenez, age 88 of Wayland, died Jan. 30. She was closely associated with the Gun Lake Band of Potowatomis.
She is survived by her daughters Leslie (Dave) Studey, Dee Anne Badger, Gail Overbeck; stepchildren Daniel (Norma) Jimenez, Elizabeth (Noe) Alonzo, Linda Anaya (Nic Palumbo), Hector (Concha) Jimenez, Dina (Rocky) Anaya, 13 grandchildren; 38 great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren; brother, DK Sprague.
She was preceded in death by her parents Henry and Rose Sprague; husbands Dale Badger and Robert Jimenez; daughter, Dawn Krauss; siblings Philemon “Gale,” Joseph, Amos, Hank, Roger, Anna Mae Chlebana, Margaret Sipkema; son-in-law, Bill Overbeck, niece, Leah Sprague-Fodor.
A service celebrating her life will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Feb. 3, at Kubiak-Cook Funeral Home, 4330 18th Ave., Dorr. A time for relatives and friends to visit with Ardis’ family will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 2, and one hour prior to services at the Kubiak-Cook Funeral Home, Dorr.
