76, of Burnips, died Monday, July 4, at his home.
76, of Burnips, died Monday, July 4, at his home.Cal was born Jan. 24, 1940, in Zeeland, to Martin and Dena (Besteman) Van Den Bosch. He was raised in Zeeland and became a truck driver. He enjoyed hunting and the outdoors. Cal was a member of the Dorr Christian Reformed Church, and he was preceded in death by his children: Wayne Van Den Bosch in 1992, Liza Van Den Bosch in 1960; and by one granddaughter.
He is survived by his significant other, Henrietta Cassidy; children: Callie Thiry, Terry and Lisa Van Den Bosch, George Van Den Bosch and Beckie Seabrook, Calvin Van Den Bosch, Theresa Van Den Bosch, Mike and Jill Rusticus, Bryan and Karen Van Den Bosch, Kelly and Micki Van Den Bosch, Kevin and Merry Jo Riemersma; 13 grandchildren, three great-grandchildren; siblings: Mardean Sternberg, Aldajean and Rollie Oshier, Darwin Van Den Bosch, Lindsey Van Den Bosch; and many extended family and friends.
A funeral service will be held at 3 p.m. Friday, July 8, at the Dorr Christian Reformed Church, 4220 18th St. 9. Visitation will be from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the Yntema Funeral Home, 251 S. State St. Zeeland. Interment will be in Salem Twp. Cemetery.
