Robert J. Blackford, age 77, of Wayland, died after a very short battle with cancer Friday, July 21.
He is survived by his children, Mark (Michele) Blackford, Sue (Ken) Babb, Jim (Kim) Blackford, his grandchildren, Ashley (Jared) Wenzel, Meghan Blackford, Andy Blackford, Kayla Blackford, Logan Blackford, Breana Blackford, Paul Babb, Jacob Babb, Heather (Kyle) Babb; great grandchildren, Gage, Maddox, and Jack Wenzel, Jeffrey Lawson, and his sister, Marija Molag, and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife Sally Blackford, Irene Blackford, the mother of his children, his sister Barbara Martinez, and his brother-in-law, William Molag.
Funeral services will be held at 12:30 p.m. Tuesday, July 25, at the Zaagman Memorial Chapel, 2800 Burton St. SE with visitation from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. prior to the service. Entombment Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
