Elaine Schmidt, 66, of Dorr, died Tuesday, Jan. 20, at St. Mary’s Hospital in Grand Rapids.
Elaine previously was a waitress at the Byron Center Hotel Restaurant for more than 20 years. She also was a cashier at Fifelski’s Service Station in downtown Dorr for many years.
She is survived by her children: Todd Schmidt and Tracey Schmidt; her grandchildren: Kelsey Schmidt, Cody Schmidt, and Kylee Schmidt; her sister Lori Schmidt; and other extended family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents Stanley and Cleota (Fisher) Schmidt.
Friends may visit with her family at a gathering and memorial service at 5 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 28, at the United Church of Wayland.
