Services pending for Bill Pavlak, 73, of Hopkins

William (Bill) Pavlak, 73, of Hopkins died Saturday.

Bill owned and operated his own dumpster business (Chuck It) for the past 20 years. In the winter he was contracted out for snow removal for several areas in Grand Rapids.

He will be most remembered for his upbeat personality and crazy joke telling to anyone who would listen. He loved to make people laugh so he often would wear T-shirts with hilarious sayings. He had a spider hat with dangly legs he would wear around the end of October, and at Christmas he would bring out the reindeer hat with antlers decorated with ornaments and a red nose that would flash on and off. People loved his spirit!

He was brilliant when it came to inventing or repairing just about anything. He was already to help those in need of his assistance; he carried most of his “fix-all tools” in and on the back of his truck.

Surviving are his wife of 48 years, Laura and a son, Charles. He has three surviving siblings, Teri (Dimock), Michael Pavlak, and Scott Pavlak.

He was the sixth of ten children of Emil and Julia (Arbanas) Pavlak, who  preceded him in death, along with three brothers, Randy, Dennis, and Tom Pavlak, three sisters, Patricia (Wellington-Davis), Juliann (Brenner), and Janet Roblyer.

Services are pending for a later date. To put it in Bill’s words, “We’ll go from there!”
