Bill Berends, age 77, died Thursday, April 29.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Bernetta Berends; children Cheryl (Randy) Smith (Nate and Tabi, Rachael and Adam, Alex, Tiffany, Marquise, Darius, Henryk), Missy (Bill) Palmatter (Kelsey, Colby, Hunter), Heidi Poll (Brianna and Nathan, Holden); great-grandchildren Kace, Jamieson, and Kameron; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Nellie Zuverink and grandson, Benji.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, May 5, at Friendship Christian Reformed Church, 190 100th St. SE, Byron Center. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, May 6, 2021 at Friendship CRC, with visitation from 10 to 10:45 a.m. prior to the service.
