James Birman Sr., age 75, of Dorr, died Friday, June 9.
James served his country in the United States Army. He work as a clerk for the Grand Rapids Post Office. James loved to race at many of the local dirt tracks
He was preceded in death by his parents Jack and Edith (Hader) Birman and sister, Catherine VanWinkle. He is survived by his children Becky Birman of Washington and James (Shannon) Birman Jr.; grandchildren Amelia, Hayden, Olivia, and Aliza; sister, Mary Hitzler; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Visitation will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. Monday, June 19, at Kubiak-Cook Funeral Home (Dorr Chapel), 4330 18th St. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 20, at the funeral home, with visitation from 10 to 11 a.m. prior to the service.
