This summer’s Dorr Fourth of July celebration will be a week-long affair, from Sunday, June 30, through Saturday, July 6, because the township will observing its 150th anniversary.
“The Fourth of July Committee continues to work to bring fresh thinking and bright ideas to the Dorr area’s annual celebration,” a committee spokesperson said. “Last year’s Fourth was a big success, and we have an even better celebration planned for this year.”
Among the activities planned during the special sesquicentennial week will be:

- Car Show
- Flea Market
- The Area’s Largest Parade
- Free Family Fun Night
- Pet Night
- Famous Ox Roast
- Evening Concerts in the Park
- Bingo
- Food Vendors and Concessions
- July Fourth Concert Featuring Stolen Horses
- Fireworks
- Karaoke Contests
“The celebration is just around the corner and we appreciate your support in planning a quality event that creates great family memories,” the spokesperson added. “You also can help by sponsoring a particular event.
