A Shelbyville toddler was taken to an area hospital after suffering traumatic foot injuries Wednesday morning in a lawnmower accident.
The 15-month-old boy caught his foot under a push mower operated by his mother at a residence east of 10th Street on 124th Avenue.
The accident occurred at about 9 a.m. Wednesday, according to Lt. John Damveld of the Allegan County Sheriff’s Office.
I cringe every time I see a small child following a push mower around. I see young kids riding as passengers on riding mowers. All accidents waiting to happen. Mow the grass keep the kids away please!
