A 38-year-old Shelbyville man has been identified by the Clinton County Sheriff’s Office as the victim of a fatal traffic accident in Eagle Township.
Nicholas Delaney of Shelbyville, formerly of Sunfield, died after his vehicle rear-ended a box truck in a construction zone on I-96 near Grange Road.
The accident occurred after noon Tuesday, and traffic on I-96 was slowed or rerouted for nearly five hours.
Sheriff’s authorities said the driver of the truck, a 31-year-old man from Ontario, Canada, was not injured.
