Shelbyville man, 48, dies of motorcycle crash injuries

Kevin Trumbull of Shelbyville died Monday, Aug. 19, after a tragic motorcycle accident. He fought for five days in the hospital before passing. He was 48.

Kevin was born on April 1, 1976, in Grand Rapids to Glenn and Darlene. He was the youngest of three children, with an older brother, Mike Trumbull, and an older sister, April Monroe. Kevin began dating his wife, Meredith, at the age of 18 and together, they built a life full of love and laughter, raising three children, Audra (19), Nathan (17), and Brooke (16). He was never afraid to brag about them to anyone who would listen.

An avid gamer, Kevin enjoyed playing computer games with his friends. He was also a passionate cat lover, unable to live a life without his companions who brought him comfort and happiness.

A celebration of life service will be held betweeen 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 24, at the Wayland City Park.
