A slow, but relentlus snow event Friday caused some problems for northeastern Allegan County. Allegan County Central Dispatch received a report that the stop sign for southbound traffic at the intersection of 142nd and Division was out and motorists were advised to use caution when at this intersection until the sign can be replaced. Meanwhile, due to weather conditions, all after-school activitieswere canceled for Hopkins Public Schools Friday, so the Vikings boys’ and girls’ basketball games against O-K Silver Conference rival Kelloggsville were postponed.
