Small, informal service is April 23 for Randy Tindle

Randy Lee Tindle, age 59, died Thursday, April 14, after a several year battle with multiple sclerosis.

Randy grew up hunting yearly with his family and cousins on their property up north. He loved to rebuild cars, John Deere tractors and could fix anything. He spent a lot of time golfing, tinkering in his shop, and spending time with his family.

He was an avid talker and seemed to always knew someone or make a friend wherever he went. He spent most of his career as an engineer/salesman in the automotive and robotics industries. His life motto, which his girls will never forget, was “Be Good, Be Smart, Be Safe.”

He is survived by his wife of 29 years, Laurie Tindle; daughters Heather (Connor) Dekker, Ashleigh Tindle; grandson, Luca; brother, Larry (Mary) Tindle; sister, Kathy (Dale) VanWestrienen; and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents Alan and Fern Tindle.

Visitation with the family will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. Friday, April 22, at Kubiak-Cook (Dorr Chapel), 4330 18th St. A small, informal service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 23, with visitation one hour prior at Kubiak-Cook (Dorr Chapel).

In memory of Randy and in lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Grand Rapids Association for the Blind and Kindred Hospice.
