A benefit softball game for the family of the late Ryan Morse was held last weekend. “It has been so amazing to see everyone pull together and be supportive in so many ways!” said Molly Kimmel-Houck, one of the players… “The tournament yesterday was so successful! The park was overflowing with generous hearts and an example of a loving community. Though the loss of a young father, husband, son and friend is hard, the impact he had in the community truly shined yesterday seeing the Moline fields filled with love!” Morse, only 44, died earlier this spring. He was a longtime Wayland athletics booster and the son of longtime WHS baseball coach Rick Morse.
