The Gun Lake Winterfest will have a full slate of activities from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 17, at the Yankee Springs State Park, but some events will take place during this week.
The Gun Lake Idol competition’s semifinal round will be held at the Gun Lake Casino at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 13. The top three winners will receive a cash prize first place, $750; second, $500, and third, $250. The finals will be Saturday.
A team trivia contest is planned for 7 to 9 p.m. Monday, Feb. 12, at One More Grill in downtown Dorr. Cost is $10 per person.
A Euchre Tournament will get under way at 6 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 15, at the Wayland VW Post on South Main Street. There is a $10 entry fee per person. Prizes will be awarded for first, second and third places.

A double elimination Cornhole Tournament is planned for 10 a.m. Saturday at the Yankee Springs State Park, 2104 Briggs Road, with registration and warmups slated for 9 a.m.
The annual popular Polar Dip will get under way at the park at Yankee Springs State Park 2104 Briggs Road, at 4 p.m. Check In will begin at 2:30 p.m. There will be warming and changing tents located at the pavilion.The sign up fee is $25, all dippers will receive a t-shirt.
The Craft Beer Tasting Tent will open at 11 a.m., including 3 Gatos Brewery 707 Brewery & Winery Final Gravity Glass Creek Winery & Brewery Saugatuck Brewing Co. Tantrick.
Innova Discs will be is back again at Gun Lake Winterfest in this year with another blizzardy, prized packed disc golf tournament for beginners to pros alike for nine holes and surrounds the Winterfest event grounds. Most holes are under 150 feet from tee to basket.
The Winterfest Pancake Breakfast at Sts. Cyril & Methodius Catholic Church, 159 131st, Wayland, will be available from 8 to 10 a.m., featuring scrambled eggs, sausage, pancakes and potatoes. All donations are welcome (suggested contribution $10 per meal).
