State Rep. Ken Yonker, R-Caledonia, invites residents of Allegan and Kent counties to attend a budget town hall meeting with guest-speaker House Appropriations Chairman Rep. Al Pscholka from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 15, at Wayland Union High School’s Fine Arts Center.
Yonker, in a prepared statement, said, “I want to share with people what is going on with our budget in Michigan.”
Oct. 1 is the start date for Michigan’s fiscal year budget.
Yonker is in his fifth year as a state representative, his third representing Wayland Dorr and Leighton townships and the City of Wayland in the 72nd Legislative District.
Pscholka (R-Stevensville) represents the 79th Legislative District, which includes Benton Harbor, St. Joseph, Coloma and Stevensville.
